Our Private game reserve of 60 ha is a place of tranquillity where guests can unwind while watching Springbok playing in the veld or just relax while enjoying the sight of Eland and their calves visiting the cottages. The reserve includes a large storage dam stocked with bass and blue kurper and it is a haven for a large variety of water fowl and other birds.
Apart from small animals like Meerkat, Cape Fox, Porcupine, Cape Grysbok and Steenbok there are also Eland, Wildebeest, Springbok, Zebra and the scarce Bontebok. Over time the Eland have become quite tame and they love to graze around the cottage. Although it is unlikely seeing porcupine during the day as they are nocturnal, you can visit their colony about 500 m downstream from the dam.
Recent arrivals include a number of Wildebeest and Eland calves, Springbok lamb as well as a Zebra foul. An interesting fact about Eland, is that the mother hides her calf for approximately 10 days after birth until the calf is strong enough to join the herd.
Unfortunately, we do not have the facilities, and cannot accommodate day visitors.
The game makes a stay in our game reserve
something very special!
